Drummania

I really want to get E drums la.
da lame recce seh. However it would set me back at least 1.5k.
I cannot get an acoustic one cause then, i would need to soundproof my room and get pads for my drum which would cost me more. So i checked out the Yamaha Dtxplorer and the Roland Hd-1
Take a look,

Yamaha Dtxplorer:

Drum kit would cost me 1.6k, the speakers would cost me about 500. Total, 2.1k. However, i really like this kit cause, the pads are replaceable, it has 32 Factory Kits, 10 User Kits, 214 Voices so i can put together my own set with my own sounds and unlike the Roland one, this one uses pedals so i can set double cobras on mine.

However, the pads are one layer pads so unlike the acoustic, no matter how hard or where i hit the pad, it will still produce only one sound. But like i said, the pads are replaceable so i can get the dual or even triple layer ones like those on the DTXpress and the DTXtreme.

oh yeah, this one does not come with the drumthrone. so i have to get one which would cost me another 100 bucks. Here are the specs,

DTXPLORER Specifications

Roland HD-1

I say Swee Lee selling these at 1.6k the other day. They usually cost about 3 grand.
Well this one is similar to the other one except this one looks neater and is much smaller which is a plus. However, they are not customizable and has only 10kits in it. and they dont have pedals! Boo. Instead, they use this step like things which is bad news cause then i wont be able to set up double pedals. Here are the specs

What i love about E drums is that i can dock my ipod into one of them and playalong to songs or i could connect it to a laptop and record what i play. But the acoustic set is still the best though. Too bad i live in an apartment.

So, the winner is Yamaha.
Mum said maybe she will get me one but i dont think i will get it soon but maybe next year yah. Mummy, please get me one of these, pretty please.
Oh yeah, prelims are over.
